If you just fancy snorkelling its pretty good on the town beach Praia da Batata which is only a short walk from the town center. Batata beach is made up of small coved beaches and the rocky outlets made for snorkelling, the natural coves help to keep the waters calm and you don`t have to go far out so its good for children..
